Games I plan to get for the 3DS

So, there's gonna be some new games coming out soon, and some which are already out that I didn't get because it's not my top priority.

So, here's the list of games that I might consider buying, from the lowest priority to the highest.

Lego City Undercover: The Chase Begins

I dunno why, this game made me interested a bit when it was revealed, and I've heard some really good stuff about the WiiU Lego City. It has a GTA style free of free roaming, except its Lego and you're playing the good guys.
The game ranks low on my priority because reviews of it was unfavourable. Many complaint about the horrendously long loading time, which was present in the WiiU version, but even worse here, since it is handheld, and loading times on handheld sucks.

Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask

I liked the Layton series because puzzles like those in the game really interest me, even though some of these puzzles downright trolls you. Also, as the first entry of the Layton series in the 3DS I really do look forward to seeing what it has in stored.
But the problem with me and Layton games is that I never play it to the maximum potential. I was never bothered about playing the slew of mini games they have and I'm only interested in the puzzles from the main story. So, I'm not sure if I would buy it at full retail price. I might consider if I could get it second hand.

Kid Icarus Uprising

I might only buy this game if I find it second hand, honestly. I know, the reviews for this game is great and that its one of the best early entries of the 3DS. But I think I need a little bit more convincing if I plan to get the game since I have not found any interest for the game or the series yet.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate

I've never played a Monster Hunter game before. My friend is currently trying to persuade me to buy it (which is saying something, considering how much he dislikes Capcom for having bad business practices). While it looks interesting, and might get me hooked on it for quite a while, the problem is that over here in Malaysia, there isn't a huge 3DS community (there is a dedicated one, but not that huge). And the fact that this game is Local Co-op only means that I have to go out and meet the local Monster Hunter guild in order to enjoy the full multiplayer experience that is MH3U.
So, I might pass on this one, but not MH4, since it is rumored to have online Co-Op (YES!)

Professor Layton x Ace Attorney

Now we enter the realm of 'consider buying it at retail price'. A crossover between these two series seems pretty awesome. And I can't wait to see how Wright and Layton will interact with each other, as well as the story of the game.
The gameplay will be a combination of the two series, which I don't mind, since I like the puzzles of the main story in the Layton series (as mentioned earlier), and the courtroom drama of the Ace Attorney games. I can't wait to play it myself.

Project X Zone

Its a turn-based strategy game, with Namco, Sega, and most importantly, Capcom characters. Really, what more can you ask for. Getting to use Ryu, Ken, Zero, X, Jin, Dante, Frank West, Akira and many other Capcom, as well as fighting game characters makes me interested in this game.
The only thing that might stop me from buying it at retail price is the gameplay. I worry that it might be a bit too repetitive, and that all the fancy animated attack sequences might loose its charm after doing the same thing for the 50th time.

Ace Attorney 5

Holy crap, this game is gonna be awesome! Plus, new trailer reveals that some older characters like Miles Edgeworth and Trucy will be in the game, how awesome!
Also, the investigation mode gameplay seems really sweet. It reminds me of the 'escape' sequence in Nine Hours Nine Persons Nine Doors, and I don't mind that, since it's a HUGE step up from investigation mode from previous games.
Unfortunately, this game may be Digital Copy Only for America/Europe, meaning that I might have to spend a bit more to buy the game. Hopefully, Capcom will sell it in physical copy as well, but give players an incentive to buy it digitally (like being cheaper, or having all pre-order bonuses, etc.), I wouldn't mind them doing that, since it also promotes the e-Shop, something that Nintendo wants.

Pokemon X & Y

The next generation of Pokemon game, a must buy for my 3DS. I like how they're gonna have an international release, which is really awesome since everyone from US and Japan will be able to experience the awesomeness of Gen VI together.
I'm gonna pick Y, I think Yveltal looks pretty badass. And my friend is gonna get X. As for which starter to choose, it's still a bit hard for me to decide at the moment. I usually decide my starter based on how their final evolution looks. So, until I see their final evolutions and their typing, I dunno whether I'll go with Chespin, Fenekin, or Froakie.

So there you go, some 3DS game that I might/will buy when it comes out.
