My Top 3 Favourite Anime

So as you know, I like watching anime and reading manga. Today I'll tell you my 3 favourite anime of all time.

Just a note. This is not a countdown. I like these 3 anime a lot, and I can't decide which anime is my favourite among the 3 of them. Also, this is my opinion. So hating me for not liking Bleach, Naruto and/or One Piece is a retarded thing to say since this is a favourite anime list of my favourite anime. Oh, and I don't watch a lot of anime since I'm rather picky and need some time before I find a show to marathon.

Before I begin, here are the honourable mentions:
Cowboy Bebop - One of the greatest dubbed anime ever. Also, one of the coolest shows around.
Baccano! - A 13 episode masterpiece (with 3 bonus episodes)
FMA Brotherhood - A remake of the FMA anime that closely follows the manga.

So here's the 3 anime:
Slam Dunk
Slam Dunk is an anime, with basketball as their sport (if you couldn't guess it). It has a high school setting but fortunately they focus more on the sports. It's all in the game of basketball.
I'm not gonna summarise the anime since you could just google it. Even though this is a sports anime and I not a sports kind of person (unless you consider e-sports), I really love Slam Dunk. It has really likable characters, it's really informative on teaching basketball to the audience, and it has a really great story in my opinion.
It's an amazing anime in a way that many Asian boys started taking basketball because the anime, that's how powerful its influence is. In fact most of the friends I know took basketball because of the anime. As an anime, it's a classic; As a sports anime, it's legendary.
It also has some action in terms of fighting since the main character has a gang and they fight senior bullies of the school who are trying to provoke the school basketball team into fighting them and ultimately preventing them from entering the inter-prefecture basketball tournament for getting involved in a fight (yeah, complicated story, but not too complicated as I can assure you).
So if you want some, action, sports, comedy, this show has all of it. Watch it, it won't disappoint.

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
TTGL is the kind of brilliant masterpiece where you need to shut your brain from all logic if you want to enjoy this show to the fullest. It's over the top and sometimes, things can go really insane.
I always like seeing giant robots fight each other, minus the stupid thing in the middle known as politics in mecha anime. TTGL does that by having very little politics that only happen for a very few episodes.
The animation is amazing, with the finish move being one of the most well animated attacks ever in my opinion. Also, there's this badass guy called Kamina, if you've heard of him who it so manly and epic that his motivational speeches will inspire you even though it makes absolutely no sense.
They also have a good concept for their primary weapon of the mecha - that is the drill. I can never look at the drill the same again. The show are also full of catchphrases that are well known in some parts of the internet.
This show is the definition of the word 'Epic', which is an overused word in the internet that lost it's meaning. It's so epic every episode tops the previous ones. And the TTGL movie - which is a summarised version of the anime in 2 movies with better animation and newer scenes - has a finale that even tops the finale of the anime, which was already pretty damn epic on its own.
For an epic masterpiece has really good action and some awesome moments, watch Gurren Lagann.

The Digimon series (most notably Adventures)
As a kid, I spent a lot of time watching Pokemon and Digimon. Needless to say I love Digimon more than Pokemon (as an anime) cuz no matter how many episodes of Pokemon I watch, I can never get attached to the dumbass protagonist who set free many of his best Pokemon and not 'be the very best' trainer long time ago named Ash.
Digimon is an anime that will always have a place in my heart because it has a lot of nostalgia value in it. The characters in the anime are likable and the Digimons are really cool and badass (in comparison to Pokemon). As a kid, I watched Digimon in multiple languages (English, Malay, and even Cantonese). It was only during high school when I rewatched Digimon in Japanese and realise what an awesome anime it is.
It's a anime meant for kids, but it has a lot of mature themes and a really awesome fanservice moment in the form of LadyDevimon vs Angewomon. It teaches a lot of moral values and the kids in the show have character development. The Digidestined also faces issues that other kids can relate to.
While I did not watch all the Digimon series, I think Xros Wars (season 6) was really nice. It gave me a Gurren Lagann feel to it whenever I see Shoutmon DigiXros. Xros Wars Hunters however, not so nice. Too much filler with little plot (all the plots were squeezed into the last 3 episodes), but it has a really amazing fanservice moment.
Digimon, the other-mon that has a better anime than Pokemon will ever have.

I will do some anime reviews soon (for the animes that I've watched, including those 3 above). But I'll try my best not to be biased. Also, I can assure you that my ratings for my 3 favourite animes are not a perfect score since there's some flaws in each anime.
